These shrimp tacos are seriously delicious and very easy to make.

I love crisp lettuce over the traditional cabbage that many taco recipes call for, but feel free to switch to cabbage if this is your preference.

Ingredients

Spicy Lime Mayo

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 6 drops of tabasco sauce – more if you like more spice

Shrimp

  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Taco

  • 8 small warmed tortillas
  • Plus topping options
    • Crisp shredded lettuce or cabbage
    • Shredded carrots
    • Pea shoots
    • Avocado sliced
    • Fresh chopped cilantro

    Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1 – Shrimp

    Cook these last once you have all of the taco ingredients prepared

    Peel and devein the shrimp as needed

    Pat dry

    Toss in the cornstarch to coat

    Melt half the butter in a pan

    Add in the shrimp one at a time shaking any excess cornstarch off before adding to the pan

    Cook for 2 minutes and then turn the shrimp over one at at time

    Add the remaining butter to the pan

    Cook for 2 more minutes before shaking the pan

    Continue cooking until crisp on the outside and the shrimp are pink and cooked through

    Step 2 – Spicy Lime Mayo

    Mix all the spicy lime mayo ingredients together and set aside

    Step 3 – Finishing

    Warm your tortillas

    Layer each tortilla with your choice of toppings and then the shrimp

    Drizzle each with the spicy lime mayo and sprinkle with cilantro
