Breadcrumbs are used in many recipes and I find it really useful to have a bag in the freezer.
They are really easy to make and I will buy a loaf of bread just for breadcrumbs so I can make a big batch.

- 1 loaf of bread
- Bread knife
- Blender or Food processor
How to make Breadcrumbs

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Cut your bread into 2 inch squares
Step 2
Drop a handful of the bread cubes into a blender or food processor
Step 3
Pulse the blender/food processor until you have a fine crumb
Step 4
Empty into a large bowl
Step 5
Repeat until you have used up all of your bread cubes
Step 6
To freeze, place in a freezer bag and put into the freezer
Tips
- Don’t place anything on top of them in the freezer
- When using them for the first time from the freezer, squeeze the bag a couple of times to loosen them up, and then take what you need
- To defrost spread what you need out on a plate at room temperature for 30 minutes
