For the best results, use a high-quality chocolate and a heavy cream such as whipping cream.
The measurements are really simple – for every 1 oz in weight of chocolate you need 1 oz of cream in volume.

Chop the chocolate into very small pieces and place in a heat proof bowl

Heat the cream until it is very hot, but not boiling, and pour over the chocolate
