Scotch Moss is a ground-hugging perennial that only grows about an inch tall and about 12 inches wide.

It will grow in a circular mossy mound and has a wonderful bright lime green colour with a soft fluffy texture.

It likes to grow in full sun to partial shade and is quite low maintenance requiring nothing more than regular watering.

It will produce tiny star-shaped flowers in mid-spring to mid-summer that rise above the leaves in small stems.

It works really well when used in a rock garden or when it’s planted between stepping stones.
