Mimulus is also known by its common name, Monkey Flower.
Its bright orchid-like flowers will attract butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden.
They prefer moist soil, so this is a perfect plant for areas in your garden that are damp or wet such as bog gardens or around ponds with afternoon shade in hotter climates.
