How to Keep Parsley Fresh Longer

Fresh parsley is a flavourful garnish and a great addition to a sauce or stuffing.
To keep your parsley fresh and make sure it doesn't go floppy in the fridge, you want to store it with the stems in a jug of water.

Ingredients
  

  • Fresh Parsley
  • Water

Instructions
 

  • Sort the stems of the parsley into a single bunch removing any lower leaves - these can be chopped and used right away or chopped and frozen for later use
  • Make a fresh cut across the stems to remove the bottom inch
  • Fill a measuring jug or similar container half full of water
  • Place your parsley stems in the water and Cover loosely with a plastic or gauze bag
  • Store in the fridge and use as needed
